To Add an FT table or edit an existing one, select the Add/Edit FT Attributes button. Selecting this button will, create the FT table if it does not already exist, then display a form allowing the user to edit or add attributes to the selected FT table.
Add Attribute
By selecting the Add Attribute button, a new row is created in the data grid allowing the user to modify the default data for a new attribute.
Once the data has been modified to the desired values, the user must save the attribute to the FT table using the Save Attribute button.
Save Attribute
Selecting this button will save the current values of the selected attribute from the data grid, to the FT table.
Cancel Attribute Changes
If changes have been made to the values of the selected attribute from the data grid, those changes can be canceled before they are entered into the database by selecting the Cancel Attribute Changes. Cancelling the Attribute changes will reset the data grid to the current values in the database for the selected Category.
Menu Items
If the selected attribute’s Dictionary is set to Menu, the Menu Items button is enabled allowing the user to Add, Delete or Modify existing Menu items.
Retrieve Attribute Field Names
The user can import Atributes from a .CSV file that has either been formatted correctly or from the saved configuration file created when deleting a FT tables Attribute configuration.
If the file is not in an acceptable format, an error message will appear notifying the user of the error encountered.
Delete Current Configuration
To user CANNOT delete a single attribute. Attributes can only be added or modified. If the user would like to delete an attribute, the current Attribute Configuration (all of the attributes for the selected FT table) has to be deleted.
Upon pressing the Delete Current Configuration button, the user must enter the delete password to actually proceed with the deletion of the selected data.
The deletion password is: Mathew!
Before the data is deleted from the database, the user is required to save the configuration of the attributes to a .CSV file. This file can be used later to re-create the columns when recreating this FT table using the Retrieve Attribute Field Names button described in the previous section of this document.
The user is also asked to verify that the attributes are to be deleted. If yes is the answer to the verification, all related data in other tables associated with this configuration will be flagged as to be deleted.
The Category stays intact while all other data is removed from the database.
