"Could not find special directory" Error:
Issue: When running Lightning Pro installer, an "Error 1001" is pulled.
Additional Information:
- When installing Blue Sky software, a specific path is requested and provided by the installer during the installation. OneDrive redirects that installation to the OneDrive web location. This redirect inhibits the program's ability to run; the installer is also storing the program path location, and is expecting to see that on the local machine.
Resolution:
In order to fix the issue, the automatic redirect by OneDrive will need to be bypassed.
- If you have previously installed the program and it went to OneDrive, you must fully uninstall the program before installing locally.
- The IT department needs to install the software using their login credentials. The use of IT's admin credentials provides the option to bypass the OneDrive redirect.
- Confirm that all locations have the proper security permissions for the user group or username (full control, not including special permissions).
- Confirm that all the program's dlls are present on the local machine. (C:Drive/ Program Files/Blue Sky Evolution, LLC/Lightning Pro)
- Proceed with standard installation.
