Resolution 2 (if above fails or permissions exist)
If you use the licensing service that is automatically installed upon an initial installation of Skyline, you will need to get a newer version installed from our website.
  1. Uninstall the Skyline Licensing Service (using the control panel).
  2. Download and install the Skyline Licensing Service from our Knowledge Base.
  3. Once the service is installed, it will automatically run in the app tray. Close out of the service.
  4. After closing it from the app tray, double click the desktop icon to start it up before you open AutoCAD.
  5. After confirming that it's now running in the app tray and pointed to the server you are pulling a license from, open up AutoCAD and Skyline.

Resolution 3 (if above fails and correct Licensing service is installed)

  1. Right click and exit the Skyline Licensing service (located in system tray).
  2. Open up Skyline (will appear unlicensed) DO NOT CLOSE.
  3. Restart the Skyline Licensing service.
  4. Return to CAD and verify Skyline is licensed

Resolution 4 (if above fails)

  1.  Open up the Registry Editor to the following path.
    1. Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\VB and VBA Program Settings
  2. Delete all folders under VB and VBA program settings.
  3. Once you have completed the step above, proceed as follows:
    1. Make sure AutoCAD is turned off.
    2. Turn off the Skyline Licensing Service on your computer.
  4. Open up File Explorer to the following path.
    1. C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Blue_Sky_Development
  5. Delete the Blue_Sky_Development folder.
  6. Restart AutoCAD and Skyline.
    1. If you see Skyline is still unlicensed, shut down AutoCAD, restart the Skyline Licensing Service, and then restart both AutoCAD and Skyline again.
