Prerequisites

Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 (32 bit)
- ArcGIS Versions 10.1-10.X
- Requires BSD License Server running or a License Subscription
- Enterprise Version Requires SQL Drivers located here
Install Steps
- Install Lightning from our support portal, Lightning Downloads. Lightning will install at C:\Program Files (x86)\Blue Sky Evolution, LLC\Lightning. The Lightning folder Security needs to be set to Allow 'Full Control' for the 'USER' group.
- Open up ArcMap. Right click on the toolbar and show the Lightning tool bar.

Go to the Customize option in the header. Click on it to reveal the Extensions menu.

Enable the extensions appropriate for your license type (Lightning for Desktop that connects to an Access database and Lightning Enterprise for connecting to a SQL database) and close the box.

When you are connected to your license the Lightning Toolbar will be colorized (on).
CLOUD LICENSING
- If you are consuming your license through the Cloud Licensing Service, the Lightning Menu Bar will open without color.
- Click on the KEY icon
- Sign in using your Email and provided/adjusted Password
- Check the desired license from the options available.
- From the available license, one will be consumed by your computer and your Lightning toolbar will be activated/ turned on.
