Projects: Spread Tool

NOTE: The Spread Tool is primarily a survey data viewer. While it has compatibility with Orbital Groundforce reports, the best use is to display and track Survey data. 

  • The Spread tool is a view-only page that provides analytics on all of the spreads involved with your project. The main screen shows Spread Activity and Spread Statistics.

Spread Activity
 The Spread Activity tracks the file uploads of all spreads in a line graph. The date and time of each upload are displayed as bullet points on the line graph, and the up-loader's user name can be viewed by scrolling over any of the bullet points. 

Spread Statistics
The number of spreads, users, and averaged information of your spreads can be found here. 

Each spread's information can be examined individually by clicking on the name of your desired spread under the Spread Analytics column. There you can view Spread DataFile Analytics, and File Validation.

File Analytics
Here you can find data on this spread's number of uploaded files and the number of errors in each data type.

File Validation
Each uploaded file is listed here as a line item. Each line item also contains percentages based on accuracy of that file's data, when referenced against your survey standard. To view more details on each uploaded file click on the file's line, then select File Details in the upper right of this page. 

Manage Spreads
Manage Spreads is used to create, edit, and assign survey files to spreads.

Spread Details
The Spread Details form is used to create and edit spreads.

  1. Select a default spread name from the Create Spread Name drop-down menu.
    The Modify Spread Name text field will be auto-populated with this name.
  2. Edit name under the Modify Spread Name, if necessary or required.
  3. Type a description in the Spread Description text field.
  4. Choose a user to assign to the spread under the Assign to User field.
    Note that only users who have been assigned to this project will appear in the Assign to User field.
  5. Fill out the Begin Station text field.
  6. Fill out the End Station text field.
  7. Click Submit Spread to save.

Editing spreads.

  1. Click on the desired spread from the spread table.
    The Spread Details will load the selected spreads information.
  2.  Edit any fields referenced in steps 2-6 of creating spreads in the above list of Spread Details.
  3.  Click Modify Spread to save.

Survey Files
The Survey Files sections allows users to assign survey files to any spread. This can be done after a reroute or if a survey file was not assigned during its initial upload. 

Linked
The Linked section displays all survey files currently link to each spread. To remove a linked file, follow the instructions below.

  1. Choose Spread from the drop-down menu.
  2. Click the check box of desired survey files you wish to unlink.
  3. Click the red UnAttach button to detach files from spread.

UnLinked
The Unlinked section displays all survey files that are currently not linked to any spread. To link a file, follow the instructions below.

  1. Choose Spread from the drop-down menu.
  2. Click the check box of desired survey files.
  3. Click the blue Attach button to link chosen files to the spread.
